  • 1880s Jicarilla Apache Child’s Vest
  • Fully beaded, rare Apache vest from Dulce, New Mexico area
  • Beaded on old flour or sugar sack material
  • Bound around neck with a 3 color red cotton calico
  • Thread beaded
  • Venetian glass trade beads in light blue, white, translucent dark green, pumpkin and red whitehearts
  • Very small boy’s vest
  • Red background and geometric designs point to its Jicarilla origin
  • A few rows of beads need to be restored, but condition for this remarkable piece is good for its age
  • The piece is not fragile and beads are not falling off
  • There is some patina around the neckline and inside off the vest
  • 12″ wide x 11 1/2″ long
  • Native American Beadwork
