TRADITIONAL NATIVE AMERICAN ITEMS

Below is a collection of Native American Indian made utilitarian and clothing items that don't easily fit into a single category. Unusual one-of-a-kind items, such as leggings, simple dresses, containers, rattles, articles made of rawhide, weapons such as knives and bows that are not heavily quill worked or beaded, are listed here. Interesting utilitarian items, like a native local Paiute bark skirt, might be found here. If you haven't been able to find it, and it is an Indian made article that belongs in your collection, you might discover it here. A lot of Indian people, particularly in the earlier days, had a limited number of possessions, as they were mobile and traveled with the seasons. However, if they only had three dresses or two birch bark containers, they might all be ornately decorated even though they were for everyday use.
