- I really don't know much about these beads but was much taken with the weight and patina on them

- The well executed figure is delineated using the complicated chisel work and nail set marks
- The original strand of heirloom hollow sterling silver beads in graduated sizes has been elongated with small natural turquoise round beads separating the upper half of the silver beads on the necklace to give a very long strand
- The strand has been restrung on heavy jeweler's wire for stability

- The well used rounder bead has been so worn that part of the bead is worn off
- The two longer beads are normally found on Muslim prayer rosaries and are highly prized all over the Middle East
- The thinner of the two long beads is not only inlaid with tiny pieces of sterling silver, but is also inlaid with pieces of abalone shell

- The face is surrounded by an elaborate sterling silver headdress showing very fine chisel work
- The headdress is inlaid with finely cut abalone shell and is notched in four places adding to the detail
- The carved onyx face protrudes from the surface of the pendant about 1/4" giving it an unusual three dimensional appearance
- The beads selected for this necklace, and strung on jeweler's wire, are unusual square cut abalone shell, heirloom sterling silver rounds and round onyx beads
- The back of the pendant is marked "Hecho En Mexico" "M.J.R. 925" and "STERLING"
- The back of the pendant retains its original pin so it can also be restored as a brooch, however the bale is soldered shut and the necklace would need to be taken apart in order to do this. A nice option

A Traditional Tibetan Woman's Bracelet. These Large Bangles Are Worn Usually Two Or Three At A Time On One Arm. While They Look Large To Us, Tiny Tibetan Women Lock Them Into Place By Wearing A Smaller Sized Bangle In The Very Front. The Pieces With The Interior Made Of Sheet Amber Are The Older Pieces And Are Seventy Five To Eighty Five Years Old. The Newer Tibetan Bangles, While Appearing Similar, Are Made Around A Wooden Base.
- This is one of the older pieces decorated with two elaborate peacocks and leaves
- Into the silver work is set four very luminous large freshwater pearls and two large pieces of coral

These Bell Shaped Earrings Are Sterling Silver And Are Inlaid With A Piece Of Coral, Faceted Mexican Amethyst And Three Pieces Of Turquoise
- This is a very textured piece as the stones are shadow boxed into an outlined tulip-shaped piece of silver in large bezels bringing the stones out about 1/4" from the silver
- The piece is then delicately surrounded by twisted pounded silver wire and liquid silver drops
- The back of the piece is marked TL - 118 MEXICO 925

A Sweet Old Taxco Sterling Pendant, The Center Of Which Is A Fired Hand-Painted Piece Of Pottery Showing A Large Pot Sitting Next To A Huge Agave Cactus
- The centerpiece is enclosed with a tiny delicate piece of twisted silver wire followed by an oval of flattened liquid silver drops and edged in flattened twisted sterling wire
- Still visible on the back of the pendant is a portion of the original Made In Mexico stamp which now reads only "ade" and "exico"
- The little pendant is strung on Cerrillos Turquoise beads with brown matrix, sterling silver beads with a flower design, plain sterling silver beads and faceted carnelian beads
- The findings are sterling silver and the piece is strung on jeweler's wire
- The oval pendant is 1 3/8" wide x 1" high
- Strung on the beads, the necklace is 10 1/2" long

- This very ornate choker is a good example of the quality of design coming out of Taxco, Mexico in the 1930s
- The main links are cut out with liquid silver drops of two sizes accenting a center ribbon-like portion into which are set three amethyst stones with a straight edged bezel
- The piece is very elegant and clean looking
- It clasps with a simple hook indistinguishable on the outside from the connector links
- It falls (hangs) beautifully
- It is stamped on the back "SILVER, MEXICO"
- The links are 3/4" wide x 1 1/4" long
- The entire choker opened out measures 17 1/2" long
- The earrings match the amethyst set links and have a screw on back
- There is no mark on the back and are the same size as the necklace links, 3/4" wide x 1 1/4" long
